HKB Urban Producers are specialists in the field of spatial planning. They help, with their knowledge, experience, and online platform, turn your idea into a plan.
Webkracht in turn helped HKBU set up the crowdfunding platform and successfully executed their idea.
The question
Crowdfunding was once new, but for years it has been a perfect way to keep your target audience engaged with your project and, through concrete or non-concrete rewards, request financial support.
HKB Urban Producers saw in crowdfunding an excellent opportunity to get urban renewal projects off the ground.
Initiators have the opportunity to start a project, and participants have the opportunity to make a pledge and contribute.
The challenge
For Webkracht, this project presented a great challenge. From the functional design and graphic design phase to the final build, testing phase, and delivery: there were plenty of challenges. But fortunately, just as many great solutions!
How can contributions from backers be fulfilled? What if a project is not fulfilled? Should money be refunded to participants? Do we need a third-party account?
What if a project has reached the end of its term but has not yet been fulfilled? Can it be easily extended? All these questions came up and were technically resolved optimally. We are quite proud of that!
The result
HKBU Urban Producers did not want to take any risks with the website development and therefore chose a proven platform. Hence, the choice fell on Exolog, a development platform built on Laravel.
Due to legal regulations, to ensure speed and guarantee scalability, a dedicated server with a clear maintenance contract was chosen.
