Celebrate freedom on May 5th in Rotterdam

Liberation Festival South Holland is an annual recurring festival organized on Liberation Day. Together with the National Committee for 4 and 5 May and JMR Produkties from Rotterdam, Webkracht created a reusable format for the annual editions of this festival.

Throughout the country, activities are organized on Liberation Day. The National Celebration of Liberation on May 5th takes place in Amsterdam and the twelve provincial capitals. In other parts of the country, there are various liberation festivals, including the edition in Rotterdam.

In the past, major Dutch names have performed, such as Caro Emerald, Blaudzun, DeWolff and Kraantje Pappie.

Liberation Festival South Holland is an annual recurring festival held on May 5th, the day on which the Netherlands commemorates its liberation from German occupation during World War II in 1945. The festival was established in 1995 and is organized by the Liberation Festival South Holland Foundation.

There have been various editions of the festival. In its early years, the festival mainly took place in The Hague, but in the meantime, the festival is also held in other cities in South Holland, such as Rotterdam, Leiden and Dordrecht.

The first edition of the festival focused on music and culture, with performances by various artists. Over the years, the festival has expanded to include other activities, such as a flea market, a children's festival and a memorial ceremony.

The festival aims to keep the memory of World War II alive and to celebrate the liberation of the Netherlands. It is an important event in South Holland and is attended by many people.

The most recent edition of Liberation Festival South Holland was in 2021. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the festival was partially held online. There were many online performances by well-known artists, and memorial ceremonies were broadcast on television.

Do you also offer hosting and maintenance?

Absolutely! We handle all technical maintenance for your website. This includes not only hosting, but also the maintenance of your website, application, or dedicated server.

Often, our customers choose to manage their website and content themselves. However, if you don’t have the time or simply prefer to outsource it, we can take care of that for you as well. 

Together with you, we’d be happy to set up, migrate, and maintain your website and social media.

Which software or CMS do you recommend?

Which software or CMS is best for you depends entirely on your needs. There is a lot of software available that you can use to set up great websites and web projects.

We prefer to work with open source systems, or systems where we have extensive experience, so that we can guarantee the quality of our work. We work with WordPress, Drupal, Magento and TYPO3, among others. We also work with the Laravel framework and the Laravel-based CMS Exolog.

Every system has its advantages and disadvantages, which we would be happy to discuss with you, so that you always make the best choice for your project. Do you have an interesting system, clever software or a great CMS that we should know about? Feel free to discuss it with us!

How much does my new website cost?

A good question, but a difficult one to answer, since the answer depends precisely on your wishes and needs. 

Building a custom-designed and programmed website is a different story than simply choosing and adjusting a template. Extensive websites, portals, extranets and webshops with various integrations naturally come at a significantly higher cost than simple websites.
