How can we set up a website and portal for our members?
The association has various year clubs, disputations, societies and committees. Founded in 1988, Taste has been based in the Pakkerij on the Oude Markt since 1996. Here, members gather several days a week at Sociëteit Antigoon.
Of course, as befits a student association, major parties are organised. In addition, Taste also hosts activities with a slightly more serious character. Think of an open-air cinema, a governing day and the Taste Business Tour. These activities, organised by Taste members, provide educational experiences and beautiful manifestations. Taste members want to make the most of their student years and develop beyond their studies.
The request
For the association, several things were important. They didn't just want a website, but also an extensive extranet, in which they wanted to manage a large number of things. First and foremost, it was important to set up a member administration. Members can log in themselves and update their details. They do this in their personal account.
They also wanted a mail administration with a mailing module. This means the ability to create forward addresses and mailing lists themselves, for the website administrator.
When logged in, members can view the member directory on the extranet. A photo book, or a photo book module for members with those rights, was also an important wish. In addition, an extensive calendar, a comment system on posts, a news module with archive, a search function for all data and a forum/bulletin board were developed.
