Bikes for the Neighbor Woman 2017
This year, the well-known sponsored cycling event is hosted by the Driebergse Tourclub (DTC), and we’ll be cycling the Heuvelrug Kromme Rijn Route. With distances of 30, 45, 80, 110, or 140 km, there’s a great challenge for both families with children and experienced cyclists. Along every route, there’s a rest stop halfway where you can sit, eat, and drink together. The 30-kilometer route is perfectly manageable for children.
The route
The ride offers a beautiful mix of landscapes that Central Netherlands has to offer. At the start of the route, you’ll tackle several climbs, such as the Pyramide, Ruiterberg, Hoogstraat, Amerongse Berg, and Grebbeberg, depending on the distance. After Amerongen, we leave the Heuvelrug and can enjoy the view of the dikes. Along the apple orchards in the Kromme Rijn area, we return to Driebergen.

The cause
The proceeds from this sporting and fun event go to the children of the La Vecina shelter in Colombia. La Vecina provides children with a home, education, and food so they can truly have a future.
