Cycling for the Neighbourhood 2017
This year, the well-known sponsored tour will be hosted by the Driebergse Tourclub (DTC) and we will cycle the Heuvelrug Kromme Rijn Tocht. With distances of 30, 45, 80, 110 or 140 KM, there is an excellent challenge for families with children as well as advanced cyclists. On each route, there is a rest point halfway along where you can sit, eat and drink. The 30-kilometre route is fine for children.
The route
The ride offers a beautiful mix of landscapes that the central Netherlands has to offer. In the beginning of the route, several climbs are tackled, such as the Pyramide, Ruiterberg, Hoogstraat, Amerongse Berg and Grebbeberg, depending on the distance. After Amerongen, we leave the Heuvelrug and can enjoy the views on the dykes. Along the apple orchards in the Kromme Rijn area, we return to Driebergen.

The goal
The proceeds of this sporty and fun event go to the children of La Vecina shelter in Colombia. La Vecina offers children a home, education and food, so that they really have a future.
